That post changed my life. You changed my life.

Y’know, I’d beat myself up for lying to myself if I told me a few weeks ago what I posted and the support you all have given me. I’m still in disbelief haha. I’ve honestly said it in a million different ways, in so many places but can’t seem to say it enough. Thank you. I mean it more than anything. I couldn’t sleep for days after posting Me. I think it was after-shock. My mind = blown. Your support and encouragement made a world of a difference in my life. I have a new found confidence. Not only that, I feel like I can connect with people on a more personal level now. Especially fans. You’ve all opened up to me just like I have to you. The comments, messages, emails, stories, everything, just wow. Thank you. Okay really, I don’t consider all of this as “coming out” like I described it in my last post. I mean, you’ve all known me for who I am from the start, that’s who I’ve shown you. I’m still the same crazy Jeydon you see in my videos, that many of you have watched over and over again. I’m still the same boy who made a video of himself eating hot dogs and a song about sneezing money (legit). I’m still the same guy who tweets more about food, the sims 3 and call of duty than anything else. I’m still the kid who sticks out his tongue in pictures more than necessary. I’m still Jeydon. Just Jeydon. But the only difference now, is you know my background, my past and really, what makes me who I am. What I’ve gone through. All I really want to do is help. I want people to realize that who we are is on the inside and nobody should be put down for it. Especially for the way we were born on the outside. No one can help that. I want to help educate people on these differences to better understand them.

I think most people are confused by the word “trans”. There are a few different “trans” people.

- Transvestite/Crossdresser - male or female who likes to dress in the opposite sex’s clothing

- Transgender/Transsexual - male or female born into the opposite sex’s body, transsexual is one who undergoes surgery to help change this.

I’m not a transvestite/crossdresser. I’m not “really a girl dressing as a boy” I’m really a boy. You already knew that. I always have been. I’m being true to who I am.

I’m transgender.

Transgender people like myself are literally born in the wrong body. We have the brain structure of the sex opposite of our body.

Studies found that men have twice as many somotostatin neurons (cells that are in the central part of the gender identity bed in your brain) as women. The number of neurons of a male-to-female transsexual is similar in the female range and the number of neurons of a female-to-male transsexual is in the male range.

It is a physical birth defect. It’s a hormone imbalance during pregnancy.

There is another physical birth defect which is pretty similar to transgender that is called “Intersex”. There are many different kinds of “mix-ups” with it but basically, it’s where a male or female is born with a mix between male and female genitals and organs.

Example: a male is born with a male body but female organs. He’ll be born with a small penis, ovaries and in some cases, female breast development and female features.

You can’t tell me you’re going to decide for them which sex they should live their life as. Since it’s not always obvious if he or she is male or female physically, it all comes from who they are inside as a person. Sometimes people are in-between genders or both genders (bigender) as a person.

Who we are comes from inside our head. When someone asks who you are, you don’t say “I have breasts” or “I have a penis”. That doesn’t even make sense. You don’t say something along the lines of “blonde hair, blue eyes, five-foot nine with a freckle on my butt” or “brown hair, brown eyes, five-foot one and crooked teeth” …Still doesn’t make sense. Unless that’s ALL you are haha. But that would make you just a body. None of that defines you. Not the colour of your hair or colour of your skin. Not the shape of your nose, the arrangement of your teeth or how short or tall you are. Not the sex organs you were born with. Nobody should be put down for anything, because we are the way we are and nobody can help that. Everyone in the world is different.

Even identical twins. You can’t tell me two people are the same person just because they have the same physical appearance/body, can you? They’re different on the inside. Obviously. It’s the same thing when someone may look a certain way on the outside, but that doesn’t mean that’s who they are on the inside.

So really. Who are you?

I’m Jeydon. I like to write, draw, make videos, music and play video games. I find humour in everything and like to be witty. I have scattered thoughts. My favourite colours are blue, green, orange and red. My favourite sports are hockey and football. I’m kinda sensitive. I like food. My fast food restaurant is Subway. I also like Tim Hortons and A&W. I like to fish, swim and spend time outside in the summer. I don’t do enough of that. I like to be with and make friends. I love my family. I’m easy going and silly. I don’t like bees or wasps. I run. I don’t like running. Did I mention I like food? I chase sunsets and take pictures. Photography is another part of my life. My other life is deep within the coma of The Sims 3. And call of duty. My favourite season is fall. My favourite candy is sour patch kids. Sour gummy worms are pretty good too, same with skittles. Food. I don’t like to go under water because I’m afraid I’ll get my ears clogged. That happened when I was 9. My favourite band is Silverstein. I encourage people to go for their dreams and always be true to who they are, regardless of what other people think. I encourage people to put themselves in other’s shoes and imagine what they have to deal with before stomping all over them. I encourage you to do the same. And oh ya, I like food.
